So basically by compressing the image, all the objects for and near behind in front of the main object is kind of looks like blending together. But this is still kind of interesting for us because taking photo this way you can actually compress the image. It’s so challenging for us to capture in the middle, because actually there’s a lot of things that obscuring, like there is a power line cable and also we can see there is a big flag, which is basically become a visual distractions of the photo. The first we are trying to capture in the west side of the Tugu Yogyakarta it seems like there’s still some object which is obscure are distracting the Tugu Yogyakarta because we have the street lamp and we’ve also trying to take a photo in a north side of the Tugu Yogyakarta, and we still have things happened with the lamp. So there is worth to try different angle to capture the Tugu. Because basically, Tugu Yogyakarta it was located in the cross junctions in the middle. And we are trying to capture the Tugu Yogyakarta in the four sides. You have to looking for some pedestrians in the middle of the street, but another following is because you are still being distracted by some object, which is obscure the main object of your photo. So it’s kind of challenging to find a good spot to take photo for the object in the middle of street. You have to boost stand out in the middle of the street, which is obviously pretty dangerous. But unfortunately when we are taking photo in the streets, you have in order to get a perfect framing composition of your object, especially in the middle. What’s interesting about taking photo in the long distance especially with the 600 millimeter is because if you really need to have a good framing, especially with a big object to fill up the frame and also still leave the empty negative space for the frame, it means that you have to trying to create some distance in order to compromise with the ultra telle lens of your lens. Tugu Jogja, also known as Tugu Pal Putih, became a favorite place for residents to exercise and take pictures. The name Golong Gilig itself comes from the words Golong which is a cylindrical shape and Gilig which is a round shape which is a symbol of Javanese philosophy which has the meaning Manunggaling Kawulo Gusti, a symbol of unity between the people and their King and Creator. This monument has a symbolic value that connects the Yogyakarta Palace with the South Coast of Parangtritis, and Mount Merapi. The Golong Gilig monument known as Tugu Jogja was built in 1755 by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono I. That’s way we are trying to using something extraordinary for street photography and to match the camera, the full frame camera, Sony A7RIII with ultra tellephoto lens from Sigma, Sigma 160-600mm and utilize the longest telle lens 600 mm to capture the most iconic places in Yogyakarta, Kraton and Tugu. One of that is to use ultra telle a focal lengths to capture something, especially a big object in the streets to make it’s looks like something that most of the people never see before. Is to looking for some extreme way to capture something. ![]() But there are another tricks or way to create something interesting, especially for environment. But creating such a composition is it photography will be interesting if we actually show the story, and especially with the normal focal length, which obviously a pretty similar with what human as see, it requires some a special or unique moment that need to be captured in a photo to make the photo become interesting. Usually, a photographer using a medium focal length with the range of 35 to 50 mm to capture a close Subject and most of the people who actually like to capture a candid moments without being noticeable, usually love to use longer focal length of the lens, like 85 mm till 200 mm. It’s always become something that has to deal with some lens or camera choose of the photographer itself. When it comes to the street photography and how the photographer are framing or create such a composition which is interesting enough to capture a story early reality in the society or environment.
